Hidden Springs is a residential subdivision very conveniently located 1.5 miles North of Downtown Bentonville Arkansas, 1.4 miles Southwest of I-540, and 2.8 miles from the Wal-Mart Home Office. All the conveniences of town are within a couple miles. There are elementary schools, middle schools, junior highs, dance studios, gymnastics studios, walking and biking trails, grocery stores, fast food, etc, etc, all very close by. The new Crystal Bridges Museum is a short walk from Hidden Springs on the miles of paved bike and running trails.
Hidden Springs is located along NW A Street borders the West Side of the Historic Bentonville Square which is where you will find the spot where Sam Walton started his retail empire. It was the Walton 5 & 10 (Five and Dime) back in the early 1960’s, but you probably know it as Wal-Mart. The site is now the Wal-Mart Visitor’s Center.
Hidden Springs has 158 single family homes. The lots are sizeable and mostly around .3 acres. There are four phases in the development which were completed ranging from the early 1990’s to the mid 2000’s. In the last 24 months homes have sold from a low of $179,900 in the older phases to as high as $499,900 in the newer phases. The homes are mostly custom homes, but some Builder’s built some homes as investments called spec homes or speculative investment homes. I would estimate that 75% were custom homes while 25% were Builder spec homes.
The terrain is varied from flat lots with concrete slab foundations to hillside lots with walkout basements or crawl spaces. Some of the streets are on a simple grid pattern while others follow the top of a ridge and the lots slope away from either side of the street. A walk down the quiet streets shows an eclectic mix of custom home styles from Traditional to Ranch to French provincial to Mediterranean. On certain streets it feels like you are walking through a forest with all the giant trees standing watch over the homes below.
