Tips for adding more wood flooring to your house
My wife and I are big fans of wood floors. When we bought another house last year it had wood flooring in the entry, hall, kitchen and breakfast room. The living room was carpet as was the dining room. With three young grandsons living close by and visiting often, carpet in the dining room wasn’t working.
So we had additional wood floor for the living and dining room feathered in to match the rest of the house. Today we got our final coat of Polyurethane and can move furniture back in tomorrow. … (2 comments)

Wildlife – a pro or a con to selling a house?
New residents to Colorado Springs are often surprised at the wildlife they see in town.
 


West of I-25 in the Rockrimmon, Peregrine area as well as further south around the Garden of the God’s and the Broadmoor area, it is not at all uncommon to see bear, deer, bobcats, coyotes, foxes, rabbits, squirrels and other animals.

On almost any day I could drive you through subdivisions and find deer.

Craig “the wizard” (my nickname for him) Daniels has a great post for helping your pictures, headers, etc. work.
Craig mentions to keep the width of your pictures for the main body at 684 pixels wide or less. I have settled in on 483 pixels wide as my standard crop / re-size and it seems to work on my “regular” blog, outside blog and Localism.
Nothing magic about the 483, I just wanted to leave a little room for white space so I’m using 483 instead of 684.

Colorado Springs has a number of small communities with no entrance sign. Angelstone, an upscale community of just 5 homes in the Rockrimmon / Peregrine area, is one of them.
This single street community, Angelstone Ct., sits up on a ridge of open space immediately adjacent to the Pike National Forest. Take W. Woodmen Road and turn west on Blodgett Drive. You will see an entrance sign for Cedar Canyon.
