Happy Halloween Seattle!  Looking for something fun to do? How about a nearby pumpkin farm?
Hope everyone has had a great week and that you have a wonderful Halloween tomorrow!  There are a ton of great in city events tonight and tomorrow, but heading out to a pumpkin farm is always fun and there are surprisingly many of them just outside of Seattle neighborhoods!  Here are some recent shots from our little trip out to the country to go to the pumpkin farm:)

seattle wa: Seattle Mariners Need Usain Bolt! - 09/06/08 09:00 AM
What if... Usain Bolt played for the Seattle Mariners?  Wouldn't that be an amazing thing to see?  Think he can hit a ball?  Isn't baseball big in Jamaica?  I was watching hubby's Oregon Ducks play and thinking that he would tear it up at football, but apparently he is only 198 pounds according to something I read somewhere so I would worry about him taking a hit.  But baseball....
I would love to hear what all you sports fans think?  Usain in Seattle?
Usain, call me ;)  I will set you up with a house while you are here...  Did you … (1 comments)

seattle wa: Seattle REO: Sad Today:( - 09/03/08 03:16 PM
A new assignment... I got assigned an REO today from a bank.  I am not new to foreclosures and have actually listed and sold quite a few of them in the Seattle area.  I am happy to have the assignment and I will do a great job with it, but the state of the house was so telling and really left me depressed for the evening.  I will get on with it and do the job at hand, but foreclosure is so sad.  Many neighbors might see the real estate agent come around and think that the vultures have arrived, but that just … (13 comments)

seattle wa: I am not selling you a house!!!! What? - 09/02/08 04:06 PM
Seattle is a great place to buy a house, but I am not selling you a house!   I am a Seattle Realtor, but I absolutely do not sell houses.  I don't sell dreams or sell great investments.  You see, I can't stand the traditional cliché of a sales person,  and I have never considered myself to be one.  In fact, I was an accountant before I ever became a real estate agent and the sales people drove me nuts!  I mean no disrespect towards any of you genuine sales people out there, but I am just not one of you.  … (15 comments)

seattle wa: Seattle Real Estate: Online Marketing Is Huge! - 08/27/08 04:42 AM
Seattle real estate 2008:
I have seen a lot of sellers frustrated in 2008 over the changing Seattle real estate market, but there are still great buyers out there and your house can sell if properly positioned on the market!
I have done Seattle selling tips before, but I wanted to touch on a few more as far as marketing your home and why you should make sure your agent is internet savvy...
Seattle real estate marketing - These are what I consider to be the three biggies after price and location of course:)
Let me know what you think - It is so important … (0 comments)

seattle wa: Today is Beautiful, but I Don't Think It Will Last... - 08/23/08 05:59 AM
Seattle:  I like this rainy day ferry scene... I have a couple showing appointments today in Northern Seattle and I am thrilled that it is such a nice day, but tomorrow does not seem to be looking as nice!  I actually heard that we might get another summer rain for the end of August just in time for my open house!
I like that the rain makes my grass green since I refuse to waste water keeping it green in the summer, but I also feel like Seattle has gotten robbed out of quite a few summer days this year!  I actually … (6 comments)

seattle wa: Seattle Gardening Tip: Storing All Those Tools! - 08/20/08 09:18 AM
A great idea... One of my clients had his garden shed so organized that I had to steal one of his ideas and share it!
Look at the clever way he hangs tools, shovels, and extension cords!
Easy... A few simple scraps of woods and all the garden tools are in order!  My solar garden shed has this now, too!
Happy Gardening! … (1 comments)

seattle wa: Seattle Staging?(These Were Not Mine): The Rest Of The House Was Great, But......... - 08/19/08 05:01 PM
I love Staging!  Staging is one of the major things I think should be done in this day and age when you are selling a house in this market. I want all my listings to be cleaned and Staged!  A buyer needs to be able to come into a house and feel comfortable with the surroundings!  I was in a house the other day that for the most part had some drop dead gorgeous Staging through out, but there were a couple VERY STRANGE things and I had to share!

Dried beans and waxy candle leaves..... This first … (4 comments)

seattle wa: Seattle Neighborhood Highlights: Loyal Heights Playfield - 08/19/08 09:14 AM
Loyal Heights Community Center and Playfield: WOW!   What a great neighborhood asset!
Where can you find it? The Loyal Heights neighborhood in Seattle at 21st and NW 77th Street.
This is a public park!  No fees to use, etc., but follow the rules to keep it nice!  The field and dugouts and bleachers are in tip top shape and just a fabulous place to play in the city.
The Loyal Heights Playfield is surrounded by residential streets and there are even  bathrooms!  There is a playground and room to walk all through the area.  This is such a great community … (0 comments)

seattle wa: Seattle: Last Call For Down Payment Assistance - 08/19/08 03:13 AM
The door is closing for now... If you are interested in buying a house using down payment assistance, then you need to be looking right now.  All loans with down payment assistance programs must close before October 1st!  That means you have to close by 9/30 in order to qualify for the program.
Here is how is works: Talk to your lender and make sure that you qualify for the program first.  The lender will have all of the details specific to you and your situation.  If you qualify, then we find a house that is priced so that you can … (3 comments)

seattle wa: Seattle Selling On A Shoestring: A Few Simple Things... - 08/19/08 02:04 AM

Seattle Real Estate on a Shoestring:  Selling Your House Seattle real estate:  I have been through a lot of houses in the last few days!  I have been through so many houses around Seattle, that when the listing agents call me for feedback, I literally feel put on the spot to try and remember which house they are possibly talking about!
Going through twenty houses in the same price range can make it glaringly obvious when one stands out as being a winner in its field.
Here are some cheap things that make a huge difference if you find that … (0 comments)

seattle wa: If You Are Going to Go To The Trouble Of Having It on The Market.... - 08/15/08 05:46 PM
Moving stinks!
Having your house on the market is stressful - I won't sugar coat it.  It is a pain to have to keep it clean to the point that you can leave whenever a real estate agent calls you to make an appointment.  It is hard to be able to live life normally when your house is for sale!  That is a fact.
Been there, done that...
I sympathize with you while you are relocating to a new house because it is one of the most emotional and difficult times even with an extremely smooth transaction.  I remember because I … (3 comments)

seattle wa: Do You Want The House or Do You Want A Deal? - 08/11/08 01:45 PM
Seattle real estate - Sometimes it can't be both... I love deals in Seattle real estate and I am all about getting my clients great deals, but sometimes in situations it is also important just to get them the house.  These are lives that we are affecting and it is important to determine which is more important:  Getting them a deal or getting them THE house.  Of course, it is possible to do both as well, but sometimes you have to choose.... I find myself on the sidelines of real estate for a change.... I am in a very different situation … (10 comments)

seattle wa: Seattle Tourist In My Own Town - 07/13/08 09:25 AM
I love picking different places and being a tourist in my own town.  Seattle has so many cool places to go to that are different than just the Space Needle or Pike Place Market.  I love the summer time when I can take a little time and go enjoy Seattle!
I gave the nanny the day off and decided to take my kids to a few different places in Seattle this week.  I had a whole list, but my 19 month old quickly decided that he was finished half way through my list, so we will try and complete it next week if … (1 comments)
