"Home values have fallen 26 percent since their peak in June 2006, worse than the 25.9-percent decline seen during the Depression years between 1928 and 1933, Zillow reported.
November marked the 53rd consecutive month (4 ½ years) that home values have fallen."

Tax season is here and that means all of us will be filing tax returns and claiming deductions, itemizing, etc.
On the IRS website one item that is new for this year is the following: "Corrosive drywall losses.   If you paid for repairs to your personal residence or household appliances because of corrosive drywall that was installed between 2001 and 2008, you may be able to deduct on line 20 those amounts paid. See Form 4684 and its instructions for details."
