technology: I have a new toy!

Thanks to the guys over at Tech Geek and More (ok, so one, in particular, whom I've known for practically forever and a day, so he knows I like geeky presents) I have a new toy to play with - my very own WordPress site! Needless to say, it's pretty much a blank canvas at the moment, but I've been dying to try my hand at customizing WordPress ever since I went to WordCamp Phoenix last month. Time to go satisfy my inner geek!

A lot of people don't realize how much paper is generated when buying or selling real estate - there are hundreds of pages of contracts, inspection reports, lender documents - the list seems endless! I think I've gone through at least two reams of paper in the last few weeks alone. However, after reading an article posted on the Arizona Association of Realtors blog about the importance of having a professional PDF writer program when working in real estate, I decided to start looking into buying one for our Peoria AZ real estate home office. WOW! I knew that these programs didn't come cheap, but some of these prices … (12 comments)

...I've decided to start a blog. You have to understand my feelings about blogs. They’re usually non-productive. I liked to call them “plogs” – plodding, self-serving dialogs to no one written by people who think that others care what they say… or are drunk enough to think that. However, recently I’ve had to admit that there may actually be a point to everyone’s ramblings. I’ve always been immersed in the tech world. I’ve worked on the web for years, building web applications for various companies during and through the dot-com era. I’m much more comfortable typing than writing by hand, … (2 comments)
Dawn blogs randomly, with an emphasis on the northwestern Phoenix area - Peoria, Surprise, Litchfield Park, Glendale, and Anthem. She also talk a lot about our kids, our dog, and technology, not necessarily in that order. Josh will occasionally guest post, in the stray moment when Dawn stops talking.
