new york state: NY Launches "eAccessNY" Online Real Estate System - 04/22/08 07:19 AM

On Monday April 21, 2008, the New York State Department of State's Division of Licensing Service implemented a new online Real Estate system called: eAccessNY.
eAccessNY is an Occupational Licensing Management System which provides online services for Real Estate Professionals, approved Real Estate Schools, and the general public. The new system is a 24 hour user friendly service which is accessed with a personal identification code and password.
With eAccessNY, Real Estate Professionals can conduct a variety of transactions online including license renewal, change of address, and request of a duplicate license.
With eAccessNY, Real Estate Schools can apply online for approval of continuing education courses, to renew courses, and to add course branch locations.

This is a new program that provides a direct rebate check to homeowners based on a portion of their school taxes paid. All homeowners who are currently enrolled in the STAR program with a household income less than $250,000.00 are eligible for this program.
If you are already in the Enhanced STAR program a rebate check will be mailed to you automatically. If you are in the Basic STAR program, the state Department of Taxation and Finance will send you an application. Applications must be returned by November 30, 2007, to apply for the rebate. new york state: 3 Hours of CE In Fair Housing Will Become Mandatory in NYS - 08/16/07 07:43 AM
To ensure that all New York State Realtors remain current with the housing needs of prospects, customers and clients, Gov. Spitzer signed a fair housing component for continuing education credit into law.
Beginning July 1, 2008, at least 3 hours of fair housing and anti-discrimination content must be part of the 22.5 hours of continuing education credit coursework criteria for renewal of a New York State real estate license.
The New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR) supported the legislation to make this a mandatory component of the CE coursework requirement for real estate license renewal.

When most people hear New York, the first thought is probably New York City. That is quite understandable. But New York State has much more to offer. New York State offers 11 vacation regions. The Hudson Valley, The Adirondacks, The Capital Saratoga, The Catskills, The Finger Lakes and the Waterways regions are just a few to mention.
