The Christmas (Winter) Holiday Break will follow a few weeks later. Thanksgiving Break will be November 23 with children returning to school on November 28. Christmas Holiday 20164/ Winter Break- Children attend a half day of school on Friday, December 16 and return to school Wednesday, January 4, 2017. The children will get almost 3 weeks vacation. Mark the date for the 57th Annual Christmas Parade in Clarksville in Downtown Clarksville. Saturday, December 3rd the crowds will gather to see the night's Christmas Parade. The Annual Christmas Light Show on the Cumberland River is opening on Tuesday, November 22 for the season. This brings in thousands of people come from all over Middle Tennessee to see the decorations and lights along the river the Riverwalk in McGregor Park.
