I have been meeting with Bobby Lehmkuhl, Malibu Association of REALTORS President 2012, and the M.A.R. Education Committee members over the past few weeks regarding my participation and contribution to the Education Committee.

The normal deadline, April 15, falls on a Sunday this year. And Monday, April 16, is Emancipation Day in Washington. Any holiday in Washington is like a national holiday for tax-filing purposes.
If you’re an early-bird filer, more likely to send in your tax return in January than April, then Jan. 17 is your date to get going. That’s the first day the IRS will accept electronically filed returns, and those filed through the “free file” program.

At the City Council meeting on November 28, 2011, State Senator Fran Pavley honored Malibu as the first recipient of her new Sustainable City Award in recognition of the City's policies and practices which protect and preserve the environment.
The Senator congratulated the City for awards previously bestowed for its projects, such as Legacy Park and LEED-certified building, and commended Malibu for its leadership in being one of the first cities to ban plastic bags.
