Many Times Agents are in a Hurry To Set The Appointment But Remember It's All In The Details,
House For Sale
A real estate agent was driving around with a new trainee when she spotted a charming little house with a hand-lettered "For Sale" sign out front.
After briskly introducing herself and her associate to the startled occupant, the real estate agent proceeded to cruise from room to room, opening closets and cupboards, testing faucets and pointing out where, "a new light fixture here and a little paint there", would help. "Oh, and the dogs will have to be closed off … (0 comments)

Divorces and Quit Claim Deeds In Todays Market - 06/22/11 01:45 PM
Let me start out with a disclaimer that I'm not giving legal advice, But I would watch out what you agree to during a divorce in todays real estate market.
I went out on a listing appointment last night, and something became appearant to me that I haven't really observed before.
I met with a lady who was divorced about a year ago, and her husband Quit Claimed the property to her which gives her full-ownership and equity.  Now that sounds okay, but what happens now that she found she is about $15,000.00 up-side down and can't afford the home, and she … (0 comments)

How To Get Motivated To Sell More Real Estate - 06/18/11 04:53 PM
I found the solution to getting more motivated to sell real estate.  After 35 yrs in the business and being the Broker Owner, I sometimes find myself just waiting for the phone to ring instead of dialing the phone.
Well today I found the motivation...  My oldest son starts college this fall (I was a late bloomer to marriage), and I just got back from paying for a dorm room, unlimited meal plan, 15 hours of tuition, parking fees, stuff for his room, and I know the books are coming, and he's done with classes by 1130am.
You should see the … (3 comments)

Mommy, where do babies come from?"- Your Morning Smile - 06/17/11 10:37 PM
"Mommy, where do babies come from?"
"Mommy, where do babies come from?" Mommy sighs, knowing this day would come so she sits her daughter down for a long talk about the birds and the bees.
After Mommy has told her little girl all about the making of babies, the little girl is now silent for a while."You understand it now?" Mommy asks."Yes," replies her daughter."Do you still have any questions?""Yes, how about little kittens, how does that work?""In exactly the same way as with babies.""Wow," the girl exclaims, "my daddy can do ANYTHING!"

The Potato Family-Your Morning Real Estate Smile - 06/14/11 12:06 AM
You're Gonna Hate Me For This
One night, the Potato family sat down to dinner-Mother Potato and her three daughters. Midway through the meal, the eldest daughter spoke up. "Mother Potato?" she said. "I have an announcement to make."
"And what might that be?" said Mother, seeing the obvious excitement in her eldest daughter's eyes.
"Well," replied the daughter, with a proud but sheepish grin, "I'm getting married!"
The other daughters squealed with surprise as Mother Potato exclaimed, "Married! That's wonderful! And who are you marrying, Eldest daughter?"
"I'm marrying a Russet!"
"A Russet!" replied Mother Potato with pride.
"Oh, a … (3 comments)

An Emotional Day In Real Estate - 06/02/11 10:47 AM
Yesterday was an Emotional Day for me in real estate.
Tuesday I received a call from a gentleman asking for help.  His wife was surfing the web looking for an agent or just about any help or consultaion with a short sale, and I was fortunate enough to get the call from them.
During our initial call Jim said that he is so stressed about their current financial situation, that he crys 4 times a day and he has even been thinking of a very permanent alternative, by ending his life.  Jim works construction and is self employed and has made very little … (10 comments)
