SIMPSON PARK in Hemet, CA
I just want to talk about a really cool hillside park here in HEMET, CA. called Simpson Park.  You start driving up the hill from Florida Ave. which is the "main drag" in this town.  You then ascend up the hill, oh, I'm gonna say about 2 miles, passing some very beautiful hillside homes, that, if you are familiar with the Hemet area, may not even know these homes are there.
You then come to a gate that posts hours of operation for Simpson Park. 
 
Don't be sitting up there in your car anywhere close to 5pm (winter) 7pm (summer), because the gate AUTOMAGICALLY locks for the night.
What you then see is a sign which always makes me chuckle just a bit, with my warped sense of humor. 
 
I'm not sure if the sign is warning you about children or snakes? 
However, once you get to the top of the hill, there are wonderful picnic areas for day campers and picnickers, and a parking area at the top that overlooks the world.  It is just breathtaking.  A must see for anyone visiting in and/or around the Riverside County/Temecula Valley areas.
