WHERE TO SELL GOLD AND SILVER -- EVEN BUY DIAMONDS!
A couple of years ago, a client asked if he could pay my fee in silver.  He was convinced I should be investing in precious metals, and his idea was that by paying me this way, I'd get interested and continue to buy silver and gold.
I knew at the time that his hopes for me were going on deaf ears, but it didn't seem to make much sense to disappoint him, so I took the silver payment -- one bar and a handful of pure silver coins. 
A couple of weeks ago, I stumbled over this silver investment in my safe deposit box, and I made the decision right then and there to dump the stuff.  So I began looking for a precious metals dealer that was someone other than a pawn shop.
I found a couple of jewelry stores who advertised that they bought the gold and silver.  One store was in a shopping mall.  I drove over there and looked inside the shop.  It didn't look very prosperous to me.  Then I started wondering how I would know whether they would pay a fair price,  And there was the question of how they would pay.  Would it be ... more
