Katyhomefinder- New Goodwill Resale Store now Opened in Katy Area
Goodwill Industries opened a new 14,000 square-foot Goodwill Select Store during December 2010. The store is located at the intersection of Fry Road and Saums which is in a shopping center formerly housed Jo-Ann Crafts and Fabrics. This is the second Goodwill Select store in the area as the first store opened about 3 years ago at the corner of Mason Kingsland.
Good will Select stores carry designer-label clothing and merchandise for men, women and children and all items are sold at a discount. When anyone shops at a Goodwill Store the funds are going not only towards payroll plus towards training programs. Goodwill's basic corporate mission is to "change lives through the power of work". Many of the folks employed by these Goodwill stores are those that have been down in their luck or have not had very fortunate lives. If you visit a Goodwill store you will see a gleam in the eyes of most of their employees that you will not see in most other retail facilities. Goodwill is a charity that does not have bloated executive payrolls or perks.
