Vickie Nagy - Television Star.  I turned on the TV this evening to find out if the government was shutting down.  A commentator was talking about the distress local federal worker were experiencing waiting for Congress and the President to act so that there would not be a government shut down.
 

 
 
This is a very difficult time for many people.   The commentator was talking to a young woman whose loan, for the purchase of her new home, was going to be withdrawn and she would lose that home if the government shut down.  The young woman was very distressed.  As I watched, I saw a familiar face.    Vickie Nagy, the young woman's agent, spoke.  She was poised, intelligent and calm as she spoke with the commentator about the possible lost of her client's purchase. 
 
I was very proud of her, as if she were a close friend, although I only know her through ActiveRain.  I always read her comments and blogs.  She seems eminently competent and her comments and blogs are insightful and interesting to read.
