Swiss Alpine Horns

This is my fifth post about my dream vacation to Switzerland. I decided to feature the Swiss Alpine Horns. They are quite unusual. The first time I heard the Alpine Horns was on the train after I left the arrival gate at the Zurich Airport. When the train stops you can hear the horns blow - but I didn't know that at the time. The cows moo and their bells ring, which of course I recognized.  Because these sounds were recordings, I didn't understand or know that these were the sounds that make up the culture of Switzerland. Nor did I know that these were the sounds used to greet visitors or welcome people home.
It wasn't until I walked the mountainsides during an evening walk on my second Sunday here that I heard actual Swiss Alpine Horns in the evening. The sound floated through the air like something I never heard before. It was truly something worth hearing.
