Convention tips
 
With Family Reunion around the corner don't miss the opportunity to promote yourself.   Here are a few pointers I got from Rich Lombardi in California.In this email I am addressing the number one essential networking tool...your business card...  The impact your card could make you thousands in referral commissions.
 Inspect it carefully from the eyes of someone that doesn't live in your town.  I've gotten back from conventions and look at the cards and have no clue who the card came from.  Pictures are a great memory jogger, but make sure the picture resembles you on a very good day... IN THIS DECADE!
 If the town you work is a few miles outside Omaha... Make sure you mention Omaha on your card.  Let's face it don't make fellow agents work too hard to send you a referral!  Let's say several months down the road an agent you met at Family Reunion calls to send you a referral but, it's for the far side of Omaha that you don't work, you still can strengthen two relationships by helping to place the referral to an agent you work with on the other side of town.  That's what networking is about! Am I suggesting that you spend ... more
