Each spring the Optimist Club of Uxbridge hosts the hottest lottery in Town; the Uxbridge Duck Derby.
About The Optimist Club Of Uxbridge
Chartered by Optimist International in January of 1969 the Optimist Club of Uxbridge's purpose is to develop Optimism as a philosophy of life in working with youth;
"to promote an active interest in civic affairs; to inspire respect for the law; to promote patriotism and work for international accord and friendship among all people; to aid and encourage the development of youth in the belief that the giving of one's self in service to others will advance the well-being of man, his community and world."  
The Optimist Club Of Uxbridge is a voulunteer organization of community oriented people who are passionate about making the world a better place for the youngest and most vulnerable of our citizens.
All funds raised by the Uxbridge Optimist Club are used to support youth activities in Uxbridge.
Some of the projects they have sponsored over the last 40 years are: "Oratorical contests; Essay contest; Music Scholarship Fund; Established the Uxbridge Soccer Club; Local Youth Bands; Fire Safety House; Kids' Triathlon; VIP Programme, ... more
