City Cabins at Indian Wall
Seattle’s award winning Green home builder Martha Rose has secured two more lots in Seattle’s Licton Spring Neighborhood just north of Green Lake. With the City of Seattle’s expedited green building permit process Rose should begin their latest project Indian Wall in early September 2012.
The high-performance homes will focus on two of the most precious resources energy and water. Part of the overall sustainability plan is two build a house that last a longtime with extremely durable building materials utilizing the latest technologies and building science techniques to minimize the energy and water that is needed in the house.
Rose’s rethinking about the longevity of the house relative to what oil prices and water availability will be 40-50 years from now knowing that the competition for these precious resources will be much greater than they are today is building and designing for the next-generations.
Rose is choosing to build to the standards of the Department of Energy’s Building America’s Builder’s Challenge program, Energy Star and local green home building program Built Green, which require that the homes be at least 30% more energy-efficiency than code built homes.
