Nominate Your Favorite Barn! Friends of Minnesota Barns Contest!
I love this idea.  Minnesota Firth Annual “Barn of the Year Contest” is seekingnominations from barn owners to help select this year’s winning barn. 
 
I had never heard of this before but, all nominated barns must be at least 50 years old….driver’s license or photo ID will be accepted along with place of residence. 
 
The barns will “compete” in one of six categories:  Best agricultural adaptive reuse; Best non-agricultural adaptive reuse; Best barn conversion to living quarters. Most dramatic rescue; Most faithful restoration and Most unique barn.  
The contest runs from now through August 21, 2012.  Application forms are available at the Friends of Minnesota Barns website www.friendsofminnesotabarns.org  Only electronic applications are accepted.  But you can call John Kuester at 641-502-8018 (cell) with questions.
