St. George Utah News: All Abilities Park Underway
St. George Utah News: All Abilities Park Underway

The first disabled-friendly recreational facility of it's kind in the southern Utah area will be located at 1851 South Dixie Drive adjacent to the Tonaquint Nature Center in St. George. The official groundbreaking ceremony was held January 15, 2015 and everything is now full steam ahead. All aboard!

The All Abilities Park will feature:
picnic areas wheelchair pathways dinosaur-themed park shade shelter/train depot water play and water features specialized playground equipment miniature ride-in train for all children
The playground equipment and train will take several months to manufacture for delivery and total cost for the park is estimated between 4-5 million dollars. The public support has been amazing for this long awaited venue and City Manager Gary Esplin is confident that it will be paid for without taking funds from the general property taxes.

I applaud the City of St. George and everyone involved for bringing this amazing All Abilities Park to the southern Utah area!
