Tornado Damage in DeSoto, Texas
 Tornado Damage
I did a post earlier today about the possible tornado that hit the town I live in ...DeSoto, TX. I didn't realize how much damage was done until I got out driving the streets. It was so, so sad for so many of our residents. I went on a listing appointment today with an elderly couple who live here. I worked with their son in the corporate world back in the 80's. He called Tuesday and asked me to list his parents home. He lives in New York state now. The parents want to move to D.C. to be near their daughter. As I got closer to their home, I saw more and more destruction. My heart got sick as I turned down their street. There are a couple of streets in DeSoto of small frame houses built in the late 40's and early 50's. The houses range in price from $30,000 to $60,000. There was debris of metal strips from storage buildings, etc. hanging from telephone lines and power lines. I pulled in front of their house and I couldn't see any damage. I was truly amazed.
