Today We Saved a Life
Today we saved a life.  Yes.  It all started yesterday when I received a Facebook Message from Stefanie Cohen about a papillon in need.  More than in need, the situation was dire.  
I called Stefanie to ask if she knew the person who sent the text and posted it on Facebook.  She replied, yes.  That was enough for me.  
The dog's owner had Alzheimer's.  The owner's family moved her out, but they left the dog in the house - alone - with a leaking roof - in Miami - in the middle of summer.  Need I say more?  Someone came to feed the dog once day, but he was locked in this house by himself.  And the house was uninhabitable.
I spoke to Yvonne, the woman who first posted the story.  She was so worried about this little guy.  She and her friend, Beth, were sharing and asking people to adopt him.  No one stepped up.  
I called a friend of mine, Marichin, who is both a reputable papillon breeder and does rescue, in Texas.  She jumped into action telling me to post it in a closed group on Facebook and tag people.  Then she gave me the number for Papadopters, the ... more
