My Goals for 2018 - To Soldier On!
At the beginning of this year, when Debbie Reynolds challenged us to the "Making 2018 the Best Year Yet - An ActiveRain Challenge," I immediately decided I would rise to the task.  However, it is now the afternoon of the very last day of the month, and I am just now jotting down my three goals I have for this year. 

Over a year ago, at the start of 2017, I made the New Year resolution to learn Spanish.  I was at 0% fluency when I began using DuoLingo, the free on-line language teaching tool.  Although, I failed to reach my goal of becoming 100% fluent in Spanish, I did manage 55% fluency.  I realize my lofty goal of 100% in a year was likely unrealistic. With an aging brain, learning things new often feels like chiseling through concrete. 
 
My #1 goal for 2018 is to continue on with DuoLingo, toward total Spanish fluency.
 
My #2 goal for this year is to continue with my fitness program to maintain good health.  I swim laps several times a week, and try to eat healthy.  However, the holidays and several family celebrations have not been kind to another of my 2017 goals, which was to ... more
