Multiple Offers Return! - 02/23/12 05:23 PM
This month we listed a house that was on the market last yet. It didn't sell. We re-listed it after Christmas and this month we came back full blast. Within weeks we had a dozen showings, and this week we had 3 different offers for the seller to choose from. Is the real estate freeze melting? Are we coming back from the abyss? A year ago we weren't seeing multiple offers. But now ... I hope this is a trend. We actually had several houses last fall that got into multiple bidding situations. Then we went into the holidays and we (12 comments)

Going Independent... A Personal Business Decision - 02/08/12 08:07 PM
This week I changed my real estate brokerage affiliation from a franchise and am now an independent. I’ve done a lot of soul searching about which path to take, and suffice it to say that at the end of the day, I see more value in my own name and my brand, than any franchise. Perhaps I should have gone down this path from the start, when I opened up, but that’s water under the bridge.
