I can not believe that I am getting close to 500,000 point. This has been true learning experience for me when I started with Active Rain in 2009. I am not one of the STARS but I am persistent in my endeavors to learn more about this real estate business that I have chosen to be in for the past 32 years,
Just celebrated my 65th Birthday yesterday and want to continue to learn. I have always said that I am "an old dog that wants to learn new tricks"..

Well, it has been one of those days ... too much going on and not a lot of time to do it in.
I have been trying to catch up at home tonight. Going over notes and trying to document things that need to be documented in the computer. Will get it done but it is going to take some time. Just do not understand why I can be so far behind. I think maybe business is picking up right now. Lots of activity.

We had such a great Sunday today. Great Sermon....Great Music and a Great Lunch with Family.
Roast Beef, Whipped potatoes,corn, butterbeans, garden peas, gravy, rice, sweet tea and strawberry short cake for dessert.
CAke is made by 1 cup of Sugar, 1 cup of self rising flour and 6 eggs..Beat by hand if you need to and serve with strawberries in sugar syrup and coolwhip...
Easy fun and great to eat..

I hate to admit this, but the first time I tried to say this tonight...I did not pledge it correctly. I think I left out indivsible...
I think that it is important that we re learn this pledge and teach our children and grand children..

Yesterday, we were invited to our 1st Graders Class room so that we could be honored for "GrandParents Day". It was such a joy to see Joshua interact with his fellow students and with the teacher.
He is an exceptional child with a lot of enthusiam for being in the 1st Grade. He seems to be the leader of this little area and he takes that very seriously. I keep telling him that he can grow up to be the President of the United States. He just looks at me and says "Grandma, I just want to be a football player"...Maybe … (0 comments)

I don't know about you all, but I am having a harder time pleasing the BPO folks. I am giving them factual information based on our local MLS and the figures tell the truth. They are wanting us to go back and get closer comparable properties When nothing has sold in that area you must go outside that community to find comparable to do the analysis.
I am also finding, after I have done the work...they order has been canceled.
Then, we have spent our time and energy to do the work and will not be compensated … (6 comments)

Well...Today is Friday. I always look so forward to this day. It is a time when I know I have a few days to breathe..
Work is intense right now and that is good. But my tongue is hanging out by Friday.
I know that a lot of us can not do it...but the weekends are my family days. There are weekend that are certainly an exception..But there are some things that are more important than money..
(Lets see what I say in the Winter with no money and no food) LOL

Well, I have been hone for 3 days now and my office does not want me to come back.
I am going stir crazy..not able to do the things that I feel like I must do.
Trying to do all that I can on the computer...but not going on listing appointments. Had to cancel one today that was to be at 3:00. Told the future seller that it would not be a good thing for me to see her today.
She agreed..
Maybe next week.

American National Parks by Ken Burns Recently we watched a documentary of American National Parks by Ken Burns. What a great program.
If you are interested in National Parks of our Country...many of the Public Broadcasting Stations are re-running this series by Ken Burns
I am excited with the photography and history of them.
It looks very interesting right now. If you get a chance to enjoy this program, it is well worth it.

Our family decided to have the first Annual Polar Dip on Oak Island. Granted that the air temperature was 69 degrees...but the water temperature was ranging around 38 degrees. WE have had some cold weather for the last half of December of 2010...
Anyway...5 of our family member decided to forge thru and do the dip. it was wonderful to watch this. Legs went numb...but they stay in the water. Legs looked like they were sunburned when the got out of the water. Changed clothes and came back to a warm fire int he fireplace at home.

Today is a blessed Day and I thank God for that. After Church we had a wonderful Sunday Dinner with all of the family. Did a bit unusual dinner today due to the fact that I sang in two concerts this morning.
WE had smoked fish (Mackeral and Mullet)
Fish roe
Salad and dressing
Baked potoes
Boiled shrimp
Corn Bread and Butter
and Grits and Butter.
Never have I served a meal like this on Sunday..but every one ate their fill and enjoyed it.
Hope you have a Glorious Sunday too.

We had our weekly Boost Class today.
Today was very interesting in the fact that we are going to have a group "Call Night" every Tuesday.
This is at time that we will call our Sphere of Influence or Book of Business... It is a non-threating way to get a hold of folks that you need to talk to and have just neglected to do so.
I am old...but willing to learn new tricks..

Is Business picking up for you?
I am in the coastal part of North Carolina, where the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape Fear River join. It has been slow here for the past 4 years but I am beginning to see some increased activity. Everyone says that we have reached the bottom...I am not so sure, but I do know that prices are much more affordable. I almost feel that we are back to pre 2005 prices. Does anyone else get that feeling?

Blackberry curve is such a wonderful tool...once you have mastered the phone it's self. I am loving it right now.
With earlier tech support, I have been able to download Top Producer 8i and put all of my sellers information on the phone.
Hopefully this will keep me better prepared in keeping up with my sellers.
