October's Residential Highlights for the Greater Portland Metro area continue to show an upward trend compared to the same month a year ago. Inventory levels continue to drop showing 6.5 months a level not seen since August 2007 down from its previous high of 19.2 months reported in January 2009.
Northeast Portland this month shows a slight decrease in the amount of new listings coming on the market over last months activity. Pending Sales for this month show a drop while Closed Sales are up and the days on the market remain fairly constant.

Market activity and sales continue to improve over the greater Portland area market, while listing inventory continues to fall creating a faster selling market time.
In North Portland comparing Aug. 2009 with Sept. 2009 Listing inventory falls while Average Sales Price increases. The Median Sales price remains the same. Both Pending and Closed sales are slightly down from last month.

Looking back in time is certainly not a predictor of the Future but it can help to throw a light on trends. The graph below looks at Average Sales prices for the Month of August in each of the years from 2005 through 2009. It also displays the Median Home price for the Year to date in each of those months.
According Portland City Data for the year 2007 the Population of Southeast Portland was 105,571 in an area of aproximately 22.706 Square Miles. An area Bordered on the West Side by the Willamette River extending East to the border … (0 comments)

When I was a kid growing up my Grandmother was a guiding force in my life. She would bake, discipline, and dispense wisdom like there was no tomorrow.
One of my Grandmothers favorite sayings was " You got yourself in a real Pickle there". Then she would purse her lips together as if she had just taken a big bite out of a Juicy Dill Pickle. We all knew what she meant.

Welcome to Fabulous Downtown Portland Oregon. Where Real Estate is Thriving in a LARGE WAY! This past summer my Rehab Client has been patiently renovating this wonderful Classic Post Modern Home located in Mt.Tabor Neighborhood. Mt. Tabor is also a Park and an Extinct Volcano.
The Home although quite spacious with its almost 3000 SQ Ft was Quite Dwarfed between the New Construcion on either side.
The solution was simple. Cut off the Roof and go up another level. Presenting the new and improved :
