I stopped on the way into the office at the corner of Campbell Lead and the Gatlinburg ByPass to take these photos-- overlooking the town of Gatlinburg. I can tell we are moving towards fall-- it's 62 degrees and bright blue skies. There were three convertibles in the parking lot-- the perfect ride for looking at Gatlinburg Real estate!

Those of you familiar with the Gatlinburg real estate market know that this is a unique pocket in today's world, and it is more positive than lots of other areas. Century 21 contracts with an independent organization to provide statistical reports for our market. This month's report (dated July 18) shows that in July the Days on Market (DOM) for Gatlinburg homes for sale dropped from 300 in May to 193 in July, indicating a postive demand for inventory. Well, I can no longer use one of my favorite selling points-- when people ask me to be sure that the properties they look at have a basement, so they can hunker down during the tornadoes, up to this point I have been able to say that "A tornado has never touched down in Sevier County"... and I was right!
