The Blowing Rock Chamber of Commerce is bringing the annual "Blue Ridge Food & Wine Festival" to the High Country on April 10-13, 2008 in Blowing Rock, NC.
 There will be:
1. Vintners' Dinners
2. Auction
3. Wine Tastings
4. "Fire on the Rock" Chef Challenge
5. Cooking classes & seminars
6. Entertainmkent
7. Amateur Winemaker Competition
8. Commerical Winery Competition

If you are coming to the Mountains for any reason at all, there is a restaurant you should visit.  Actually, I should call it a landmark. The Daniel Boone Inn has been serving home-cooked meals for over 40 years.  They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.  They are located at the corner of Hwy 421 and Hwy 321 (Daniel Boone Hwy) in Boone, NC.  They are right next door to Appalachian State University - home of the 3-time winning National Champions !!
