I get this question all the time.  Well, it's a buyer's market in that there are a lot more homes to choose from and the interest rates are pretty good.  Have home values decreased in the Portland area?  Not at all.  We can expect another 8% increase in home values in most areas around here.  I've got documentation from RMLS and other sources that support my findings which I'd be happy to share with anybody who would like copies.
