Two years. A lot has changed in the last 2+ years... For the industry and myself personally.
I'm still in the business I'm proud to say! Not to say that it wasn't tough, but I think the worst is behind us. I know we expect another wave of REO's but hopefully at a steady enough pace to not through values for a downward turn again. I'm sure the banks have learned that lesson... I hope.
I am in Contra Costa County, one of the bigger hit areas of California and maybe the Country. With values in some areas down almost 70%! BUT homes are selling! People are buying! Both investors and 1st time buyers, or those that couldn't before when the prices were so ridiculously HIGH! Good for them!!! I love working with Buyer's anyway! A certain satisfaction and feeling about I someone get a Home.
As usual, the name of the game is Listings. The key in this area as I'm sure in all REO markets, is to get in with the banks directly or the Asset Managing Companies. Easier said than done. But I am determined. The predictions are that we have three more years of foreclosures to come.
Any tips, advice or flat out "hook up" with getting my foot in the door would be SO GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
Thanks for reading and for any positive comments! I hope you "Make It Happen!"
