Ready for a treat! The weather is warm and the colors are beautiful. Time to bring Oct to and end and ret ready for Fall and Thanksgiving! Don't forget that Saturday night before you go to bed to set the clocks back, and check the batteries in your smoke detectors!! You get a extra hour of sleep, but It gets dark at 5:30. I kinda wished we did not set the clocks back. I love to smell the fall air, it smells like warm and cozy fires, not everyone like the cool, It reminds them that cold is coming (2 comments)

Halloween, are you ready!! - 10/27/08 08:30 AM
We live in a neighborhood that usually sees about 200 kids on Halloween. Last year I ran out , I gave out 500 pieces of candy and at 9 pm they were still coming around!! TThis year we went to Sam's and bought hug bags with about 1000 pieces of candy. Most of the houses in the neighborhood are really fixed up for Halloween, we have a fall look with pumpkins, hoping It can make it into Nov as fall decorations. I love to decorate, but don't like the Halloween look that much. My kids are in high school and they don't (4 comments)
How does your state compare to the rest? - 10/25/08 11:39 AM
I have clients coming from California and Florida looking to save money and get out a area that is not getting better. We compared a cost comparison to see if they would save money to buy in our area . I was really happy to see that we are more fortunate than other states as far as cost of living in areas of tax's, food, insurance and everyday items. Compared to California my client could afford to take the salary cut and still live better her. We are very lucky in SC, our state is doing well compared to others. Our (1 comments)
Missing 3 year old, and a hugh search - 10/23/08 09:12 PM
Today my heart stopped as my neighbor screamed Riley which I knew was her 3 year old. This was the beginning of a 2 hour search through the woods, park and into 3 neighborhoods. The police tracking dogs and search team came and still not a thing. School let out and the teens in the neighborhood started looking. They search the neighbors house 3 times, nothing. This kid just disappeared. The police put out a reverse 911 to 1 mile radios and started the helicopter. Just when things got really concerning they found Riley a sleep under a pile of pillows (1 comments)
I find myself ordering Graduation cap and gown and invitations for my sons graduation that have to be ordered to meet the June rush. The school requires all orders by Nov 1st. I can't believe my son is graduating high school this year. There are so many senior things that must be done by spring, yet I find myself wishing for more time. Do you remember when they were crawling and you wished they could walk, or when they bugged you to take them every where and you said want it be great when they can drive, well that time (6 comments)
I noticed a house for sale that had a sign that read 100% loans , no money down, all types of credit may apply. Isn't this what got us into this mess to begin with. This attracts people have no money and want to buy a house. I 'm sorry I do want everyone to have a chance to buy a home, but if you have no money and slow credit isn't his a recipe for disaster? Taking people into buying a home they can't afford is not helping them! They will be in foreclosure in a few months. I (2 comments)
Has we run from one appointment to another do we ever take a minute to look around you. This weekend I was in a big hurry to get to church and rushed out the door. I noticed the cool crisp air, but hurried my family to the car. We made it to church with a few minutes to spare. On the way home I noticed that the sky was beautiful, a blue that looked like it was sparkling. The trees are turning and there right where I had passed 2 hour earlier was a beautiful orange tree that looked (6 comments)
Our neighborhood has decided that we will start a neighborhood wide community watch program. With the rise in theft and crime we as a group decided that it was time for us to give back to the community. Living in a smaller town you become secure and don't think about someone coming into the neighborhood with the intent o stealing or vandalism. We have only had egging and petty stuff, but officers with the Travelers Rest police pointed out some risky things that neighbors are doing that leaves themselves wide open . Here are a few you might want to (2 comments)
Sharing Christ in your own neighborhood! - 10/14/08 12:56 PM
Saturday night my daughter came to me for advice. A boy at her school ask her to be his girlfriend. She told him she only dated boys that her parent approved of, that went to church with her and shared her faith, and ask about his faith. Turns out he did not even know who Jesus was, he had heard Jesus was like a action figure and had been shot and killed! She told the boy about Jesus and how to ask him into his heart. She also told him about Heaven and Hell HE told her he'd have to think (2 comments)
You can find Peace in the midst of the storm if you seek God for protection and blessing. During this terrible crazy mess with the market, gas and failure of the America I still find peace and comfort. This peace comes from my faith that God will bless us and protect us. I was reading my Bible at 6:30 am today and ran across a scripture that made me think. Ecclesiastes 5:10 Whoever loves money never has enough money, whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. this too is meaningless. Life is not about how much we have (9 comments)

We saw a lot of vegetable stands still open with Apples and Pumpkin's. Warm days and cooler nights makes this area really enjoyable and a really place visit. Don't miss out on the beauty of fall in the mountains, soon winter will be here and the color will fade. Take your family on a day trip and enjoy fall at it's best! I needed a new Health Insurance policy because Cobra policy is coming to end. I started looking and found the cost unreal, over $450.00 a month for decent insurance! I also checked into National Assoc of Realtors benefits, it isn't any better. Is there any group or private policies that are good. How can people afford health insurance if the cost is more than a car payment and almost as high as a house payment? Any ideas, we need to work together and share cost saving plans and ideas. We have trimmed down our budget , and are really (5 comments)
What does it take to motivate you to? America needs to Prayer Now! For some people, prayer is a daily priority.Others see it as a last resort. They turn to God only In times of emergency when all other avenues of help have been exhausted. Now is the time to start. No matter what category you fall into, there Is no time like the present to lift up our nation to the Lord. The housing market, gas prices, our economy, we are facing one of the most difficult times since the Great Depression. We must join together and do what (4 comments)
IN GOD WE TRUST! - 10/02/08 09:39 AM
Our Country is in a mess and the leaders of our country refuse to listen to the Americans who voted them in. Our Country was founded on the belief of One Nation under God. What has happened to our country? Even our currency has IN GOD WE TRUST printed on it, yet our leaders have not even thought about a day of prayer for our country. They feel like the are superior to Gods word. They do have a opening prayer, but I think the President should call for a day of Prayer where we has Americans can take time together to (6 comments)
