I have been using a newsletter to help introduce myself to neighborhoods. I selected an area close to my home that I would be interested in finding listings. Each month, on a Saturday, I walk the neighborhood delivering my one page newsletter. I begin at 9:30 and drop them off at homes and "catch" persons outside. When meeting someone for the first time, I keep the visit short unless they ask for more information. It helps break the ice and build rapport.
