Arbor Day Celebration in Edmond - 03/28/08 07:11 PM
The City of Edmond's 4th Annual Arbor Day Celebration is scheduled for tomorrow, March 29th from 1:00 until 4:00 at the Festival Market Place in downtown Edmond. Last year I happened on the event by accident with my daughter. As we drove past we noticed the event and decided to check it out. What fun we had! The annual Edmond event includes a moon bounce for kids, free tree seedlings, free t-shirts (sponsored by Edmond Electric) and many educational but fun activities for the whole family. So, if you are out and about tomorrow afternoon, stop by the Festival Market Place (0 comments)
Is your Oklahoma lawn PURPLE? Then you may have Henbit, a weed. It's an annual weed, which means it dies off and re-establishes itself each year by seed. The best way to prevent Henbit from infiltrating your Oklahoma lawn is to use a pre-emergent in mid September and mid February. If you are trying to sell your Oklahoma home and have a PURPLE lawn? You should treat these weeds to maximize your curb appeal. For suggestions on the best treatment for your Oklahoma lawn ask the experts at TLC or contact a company like Scott's Lawn Service to spray the lawn (0 comments)

What is Your Flood Risk? - 03/13/08 07:19 AM
Wind, rain, tornadoes; must mean it's spring in Oklahoma! With spring comes severe weather. The crazy weather can bring flooding, which can be costly without flood insurance. Even just one inch of water can leave thousands of dollars in damage behind. I have discovered an on-line resource provided by FEMA that allows you to search by property address to see the level of flood risk the home has, http://www.floodsmart.gov. This can be a valuable resource to share with buyers who are concerned about where a home they are considering is located. Search Oklahoma homes at http://www.SellaMetrHome.com (0 comments)
Edmond Oklahoma, My Adopted Home - 03/12/08 09:45 PM
Edmond, Oklahoma is really a small town at heart. I like that. I have been fortunate to live all over the country. I have lived outside of Chicago, Fort Wayne Indiana, Scottsdale Arizona, and Jacksonville North Carolina. But none compare to Edmond, Oklahoma. I moved here in 1997 and have felt at home ever since. Edmond is the kind of town where your neighbors genuinely care, community involvement is outstanding and people take pride in the area. Yes, Edmond is experiencing growth. New businesses are coming to town and new neighborhoods are appearing all the time. But the true character of (0 comments)

Yesterday proved to be a fabulous day in Edmond, Oklahoma. After an afternoon of meeting and greeting at an open house, I took advantage of the wonderful weather and walked the trail at Mitch Park. Mitch Park is in north of Covell Road between Santa Fe and Kelly next to Cheyenne Middle School. The main trail is 2.8 miles and meanders close to the park boundaries. There are another 1.8 miles of trails on the interior of the park. While strolling with my dog I quickly found my idea to visit the park was not an original one. I found Edmondites (0 comments)

Cut Closet Clutter - 03/03/08 12:40 PM
Today's home buyer is typically looking for a space about 20 percent larger than their current home. But if they can't see that additional space through all the stuff they won't buy it. How about cutting out some closet clutter? Professional experts say we wear only 20 percent of our clothes 80 percent of the time, which means that much of what is in our closet is rarely used. If you are digging through piles of clothes to find what you are looking for, it may be time to reorganize. Closet design pros suggest the following;Empty the closet completely sorting items (0 comments)
