Q: Currently I have a smaller master bedroom and 2 smaller bedrooms with 1 bathroom. I'm considering knocking out the wall between the 2 smaller rooms and adding a 3/4 bath (shower, not tub) and creating a master bedroom suite with its own bathroom and larger closet. This would be a relatively expensive project obviously, so with my $135,000 home, is it worth the investment? Or should I sell it as is?~ Nathan

Are we going overboard on "Green"? - 06/18/10 07:24 PM
Recently a client who was doing some improvements to his property asked me asked me how important "Green" was in deciding what it was he would do.
 Overboard on Green-is it possible?  Of course, it's just like everything else we do.
Here are a few suggestions about making an existing house as "green" and more economical to run. 
 If you are thinking about putting in wood floors, buy materials when possible that are locally harvested and that are more easily replenished or fast-growing types of wood.

Santiago Canyon Road Improvements- The Board approved the Santiago Canyon Road Culvert Crossing Replacement Project in concept which will allow for a drainage improvement project along Santiago Canyon Road. The project consists of removal and replacement of an existing 48" corrugated metal pipe and an associated culvert inlet structure that has become blocked with sediment and debris. The project will protect the surrounding properties from debris flows, which are now common as a result of the 2007 Santiago Fire.
