They Say Realtors Don't Live Dangerously... Right! - 03/25/08 08:57 AM
I am recovering, if you are wondering why I haven't posted in a while. My sides are aching, like I have been hit repeatedly in the sides with a piece of pipe. The congestion is gratefully leaving my lungs.
That makes my work a lot of fun, because i do not use a showing service or have an assistant. Currently I am working several contracts...simultaneously, and trying to keep a couple of pending sales for my listings on track to close. Sure makes life fun, when you start having spasms of coughing.
Sounds like the flu or a cold, doesn't it. Actually, I … (3 comments)

Burnout: Sources and Cures - 03/06/08 11:42 AM
Burnout is a term bantered about to describe an event in a person's life, where they no longer have the affinity to do what they once did, with thte fervor they used to employ.
I say burnout is an excuse for laziness. Why?
People use the term on Monday when they arrive at work, by noon.Never mind that they stayed up allnight watching spy thrillers, or hitting the game boy. These folks are just sleepy, and lunch does little to help. Their productivity suffers, and because they aren't meeting their goals think it's burnout.
On Tuesday, they complain that things just arean't working, … (1 comments)

Some Observations - Food For Thought - 03/05/08 09:18 AM
Some Observations:I work with a lot of homebuyers in trouble, as a loss mitigator in the field.I worked with ove 1500 homeowners ni distress, and was able to get loan workouts for 950 of them. It's a tough market. I average about 10-15 of these clients a week, now. I expect my buiness on this end to expand for the net several years.
There are lots of opportunities out there, and they are growing.
What I really hate to see is all of the Brokers and their agents out here "boo-hooing" the market and their inability to sell a property. They wwhine about the … (4 comments)

Some Coast to Coast Reflections - 03/03/08 10:39 AM
Road Trip 2/12 to 2/19/2008
It's our last night in San Diego, after our first road trip for the year. I am out looking at real estate first-hand, and have been coast-, to-coast since December. In my travels I have specifically looked at the markets in Florida and California, looking at coastal towns in both trips.
Florida was a little more difficult, since it has, depending on your viewpoint, two or three coasts. That being said, and my view being that Florida has two coasts , I will base my assessment of the market thusly.
What I found at the end of the … (0 comments)
