Not getting much of a response to my earlier post for help... - 05/29/11 03:18 PM
I'm referring to the background images on our profile pages...
If you would be so kind to let me know how I can add some color via pictures and/or scenery to my main page, I'd greatly appreciate it!
I know there are others on here who are also wondering the same thing.
Please take a minute and share your knowledge with us.
Thanks in advance.

Would someone be so kind as to help me for a minute... - 05/29/11 02:19 PM
I've noticed that some of the profiles on here have the boring white background, like mine.
Some of the others have very colorful and interesting photos and scenery types of backgrounds.
Please tell me how I need to go about making mine more colorful and appealing.
Hopefully, there is an easy way to do this without having to shell out a bunch of money. lol.
Thanks in advance.

Time for a joke anyone? - 05/29/11 01:51 PM
We are all very busy blogging about our real estate knowledge and promoting our listings, myself included.
So, I thought I'd take a minute to share a funny...

While I was taking a walk at the park yesterday, I overheard a very strange conversation.
The little girl was asking her mother in a very loud voice.  "Mommy, Mommy, why are we pushing the car into the lake"???!!!
The little girls mother responded abruptly.  "Jennifer, please be QUIET, you are going to wake up your father"!!!

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone!
Thank you to all of our men and women … (0 comments)

My view about lease purchasing a home - 05/29/11 01:44 PM
Lease Purchase Information With the current economic conditions, lease purchases and land contracts are very popular. Our advise, AVOID the immediate urge of buying a home if you cannot obtain a mortgage! We get at least 2-3 calls DAILY from people who are/were involved with trying to buy a home on a lease purchase only to discover the homeowner had not been making the mortgage payments and they are/were evicted because the home is in foreclosure! Lease purchases are VERY dangerous, plain and simple! Yes, there are still honest sellers out there, but how do you know if the one you … (0 comments)

Discounted homes and avoiding paying too much - 05/29/11 01:05 PM
I read a similar post and wanted to share my thoughts.  I've been working with buyers for years who are wanting to buy a foreclosed home and save themselves some money.
There isn't anything wrong with the concept, but you might want to listen to me (or your Realtor) when it comes time for writing the offer.
The bank and government owned homes are already being offered at steep discounts.  Why would you want to try to low-ball them and get the price down several thousand dollars further?
Yes, that works in some cases, but when you find a hot property … (3 comments)

Need help buying a home? Here's more about the buying process... - 05/26/11 01:28 PM
The Home Buying Process
First and foremost. If a buyer is not paying cash to purchase a home, they need to speak with a lender and obtain a pre-approval for a mortgage letter before doing anything else. We would be happy to help you find a lender that’s best fitted for your situation. A mortgage pre-approval is a requirement of most sellers! Without one, most sellers will not even look at your offer. IF, the lender is not able to issue you a pre-approval, we have a relationship with an excellent and very reasonable credit repair company! Please let us … (0 comments)

QR Codes... - 05/21/11 07:56 AM
I'm not a newbie and welcome most improvements and changes that can enhance our abilities to communicate with buyers and sellers. But, I'd like to know more about something before I begin using it.
However, with that being said, I'd like to hear from my colleagues about the new QR codes.
Are you using them? Are they effective? What is the main purpose of them?
They remind me of the older "bar codes" that we are now seeing on virtually every product known to man.
Do I need to download an app for my Droid to be able to scan them?

Your comments or suggestions would be appreciated. IF you are able to post them. lol.

A new kind of brokerage was born in Ohio over a month ago... - 05/21/11 07:28 AM
Hello all-
I just wanted to publicly say, Thank You to Pat and Clyde Corle!
They opened up a new brokerage; yes even in this economy, that is FOR the agents!
We are truly an agent centric company and take pride in treating our agents with respect and dignity.
Everyone's opinion matters and that's another one of the benefits of being a co-owner of the company.
They have given my business partner and I a chance at a very bright future and we truly appreciate them!!!
God Bless.

Awesome mortgage information to help you! - 05/21/11 07:15 AM
Our mortgage partner offers a product that is very similar to the type of financing available when buying a HUD owned home with repair escrows.
Instead of using a more costly FHA 203k renovation loan, you might want to consider checking with our mortgage partner and see if his FHA 203b with repair escrows would be a better fit for you.
It can save you thousands of dollars in interest over the life of the loan. It also has lower closing costs!

More helpful information when buying a home - 05/21/11 07:08 AM
Buying a home, one of the biggest decisions one can make in life.
I'm a Realtor and Co-owner of a brokerage. In review of all the comments in this thread, they all have value to what they are saying. Owning a home is not right for everyone, and it's buying when the time is right for you, add to that, buying the home that is right for you.
Here's some things to consider. Work with a Realtor? Absolutely, but (and this is a big "But", no pun intended) Choose your realtor wisely. There a good agents out there, but many bad … (2 comments)

Useful information when buying a home! - 05/21/11 07:05 AM
Here are 10 other tips for buyers, and for yet more information, visit our website: http://www.HomeExpertsRealty.net. I sincerely hope this helps.
Don't buy if you can't stay put. If you can't commit to remaining in one place for at least a few years, then owning is probably not for you, at least not yet. With the transaction costs of buying and selling a home, you may end up losing money if you sell any sooner - even in a rising market. When prices are falling, it's an even worse proposition.
Start by shoring up your credit. Since you most likely will … (0 comments)

An FHA 203k loan is a great product! However, how about an FHA 203b c/o repair escrows instead? - 05/15/11 09:28 PM
Our mortgage partner offers a wide variety of mortgage products.  One type of loan they have is very similar to the type you might achieve when buying a HUD owned home.
It's designed for homes that require some light rehab in order to be approved for an FHA mortgage.
It's called an FHA 203b with repair escrows.  A few of the benefits are, but not limited to, lower closing costs than a FHA 203k loan, lower interest rate than a 203k.
With all of the foreclosed homes on the market today, these types of loan products are in high demand.

Got Leaky Windows? 3 Low-Cost Tips to Fix Them I used to hang an extra woolly robe in my bathroom because my post-shower route took me past a window so drafty it made me wonder about the etymology of “window.” Turns out it comes from the Anglo-Saxon “vindr” and “auga,” which translates as “wind eye.” How appropriate.
