It was a dark and stormy night on February 1, 2011. in Downers Grove. It started snowing heavily by mid afternoon. By 7pm it was a full fledged blizzard with 60 mile per hour winds, thunder and lightning. By 7:30 pm my electricity was off... Fortunately it was restored by 10:30 pm the same night. Thank you Com Ed! The next morning it was still snowing. It finally stopped around noon on Feb. 2, 2011. Ground Hog Day! The groundhog did not see his shadow, so we will have an early spring!
