Days on Market(known as DOM in REALTOR-speak) is an important factor for both buyers and sellers to understand.
 
Sellers should be mindful that one of the first questions a prospective buyer will ask when touring a home is “How long has this home been on the market for sale?”.    The answer can prompt a couple of reactions from a prospective buyer.
