Slow Down You Are Moving Too Fast I have been known to speak too quickly. Sometimes speaking before thinking if I am not mindful. Moving too quickly. Bypassing or skipping things as the world goes by. There's a lot to be said for slowing down. I am definitely trying it more. Each and every day. Being deliberate. Focus. Staying aware. Recently, I had the opportunity to stop behind the War Memorial Park and see progress on the South Pasadena 2016 Tournament of Roses Parade float entry. The 127th annual Rose Parade will be held on Friday, January 1, 2016 in Pasadena, California.
As one of only seven and the oldest self-built(not corporate-sponsored) and volunteer floats in the parade, the city of South Pasadena has been a participant since 1893. 2015 is well underway and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade(which is held each January 1) is definitely behind us. During December, I told you of the city of South Pasadena and the volunteers behind the city’s self-built float parade entry entitled “Still Winning”(see end of this report for links).

As I drove past the Arco Gas Station in South Pasadena, I had no idea of what had transpired over the weekend. This morning, the Pasadena Star News reported a quick pick lottery ticket was sold at the station on Saturday, September 14, 2013.
