Greetings from Door County, Wisconsin, on a foggy and mysterious December day close to the end of 2018. The weather in Sister Bay right now feels a bit like April, but the bright holiday lights are able to pierce through the fog, and spirits are bright (a reminder that if you ever want to see what our local weather is like, it's fun to use the Al Johnson's Goat Cam).

I enjoy the honor of living in one of the most scenic places in the world, Door County, Wisconsin. This little Peninsula that sits in between Green Bay and Lake Michigan provides me with thousands of good memories (and good photos) every year. My biggest problem is that I often forget to take my phone out of my pocket--I'm too busy looking around!

We celebrated two college graduations. A full year at my new office (which has been wonderful). My family. My church family. It's the holiday season in Door County, and while we give thanks today, we begin the countdown to the holidays that have meaning for us in December.
This weekend Sister Bay hosts Capture the Spirit of a Door County Christmas. This is one of my FAVORITE HOLIDAY EVENTS of the year.

In all things, be grateful. This is something that I have carried in my heart my entire life, but it is revealed to me on a daily basis.
