Summer in NH…a true waterfront mecca.
I love summer in New Hampshire. I love our rocky coastline and our wonderful lakes and ponds. 
New Hampshire has so many lakes, ponds, streams and rivers that water recreation can be found just about everywhere.
The list is huge starting from the First and Second Connecticut Lakes, Lake Francis, Umbagog Lake, Lake Winnipesaukee, Squam Lake, New Found Lake, Winnisquam Lake, Big Island Pond, Pawtuckaway Lake to name just a few and then of course there are The Rivers.

A swan by the side of the road in Rye NH - 06/21/08 09:07 PM
Did you know that they bite? I didn't and thank god I didn't because I probably would not have stayed there and filmed.
We were on our way to Portsmouth NH to have lunch with Ann Cummings when a thick fog bank rolled in and covered everthing.
Up in Rye on the side of the road we encountered a huge white swan, several little ducks and a sky rat (seagul) all playing in a swamp covered in lily pads.  I shot a few short videos and posted them on my outside blog. Southern New Hampshire special perks... - 06/19/08 08:24 PM
I've been playing around with video and while I have not yet figured out how to edit, I have been having fun with them.
Recently we spent a week camping at the beach. I love the beach and camping there is close enough for us to go back and forth to work as needed.
That means that I can enjoy, coming home to the beach after work and not feel guilty for having been away or vegging out a little bit more than usual.

For those of you that know long time ActiveRain member Ann Cummings I thought I'd share with you some very sad news.
Yesterday Ann lost her fiancé Dewitt "Bear" Perkins, commonly referred to as her "honey" Bear...for those that know Ann, know that Ann and Bear had been a couple since 1991.
It's hard to think of one without the other and Bear will be sadly missed by all those that knew him and loved him.
Jay and I have many-many memories of Bear, NAR conventions were always a blast with Ann and Bear and we attended many of them together … (78 comments)

Living in Southern New Hampshire really is a true delight!
I love the location...30 minutes to ocean beaches an hour or so north and I'm in the mountains.
One place near home that we love to visit is in the state of Massachusetts, a very popular ocean side state park and campground called Salisbury Beach Reservation.
A few days at the beach always has a way of recharging me…making me realize just how lucky I am that I can come here. We're lucky because while camping at the beach, we can work and still enjoy all the sights and sounds of … (15 comments)

I love Lupines!
I especially love seeing them grow naturally along our wonderful New Hampshire coastline.
I love the vibrant colors and how they just frame and complete any picture I take with them in it.
They just leave me with such a peaceful feeling!
New Hampshire also loves Lupines and what better way to enjoy them then to visit the annual Fields of Lupines festival being held in several towns throughout the next two weekends.
This is a perfect summer event that allows you to enjoy New Hampshire living at it's finest!

54 years ago you were born in a little town in Germany and you were picked specially by your parents to be their son, then 36 years later I picked you to be my husband.
I've never looked back and our journey together has made me very happy!
I hope you have a great birthday, playing Golf and then enjoying a lobster dinner...topped off with a long barefoot walk along the beach.

I was lucky enough to have been tagged by two awesome bloggers. First was Mariana Wagner of Colardo Springs Real Estate and then Fairbanks Alaska Real Estate Blog Jesse Clifton of Spouses Selling Houses fame.
