The 4th annual wings and wheels will be held at the Florence airport June 30th 2012. Time will be 10 am-3 pm with  admission at $2 per carload. They will have helicopter rides by Apex Helicopter and Bi plane rides also available. Come on out and enjoy the fun!

What have you done to go above and beyond for your Sellers? - 05/22/12 10:20 AM
There is a fine line between become a sellers slave and doing a good deed to help them along. We are in an area where most of the sellers are old enough to be my folks and I am in my mid 50's. The usual reason to sell is they need to be close  to family or going to a care home.
I often find that I need to haul a load to the dump or good items to a donation center. I have a truck and will give them a load on me! It is always well received! I let … (6 comments)

Florence Oregon Rhododendron Festival 2012 - 05/17/12 05:43 AM
To they will start coming by the droves. Our little town of 8,000 will swell to 30-40 thousand people. Officially it starts tomorrow night with the pageant and ends Sunday with the Parade. In between there will be a 5 and 10k run, car show, car cruise, gun show and many vendors.
One of my favorites is the Elks chicken BBQ held Saturday and Sunday. Sometimes on Saturday night I enter the car cruise in my 1960 Corvette pictured on my website. The weather is forecast for sun so come on down! If you need a Hotel, forget it!

Mothers Day Brunch and a Diabetic Dilemma - 05/13/12 06:34 AM
This dilemma comes up more than just Mothers Day. We are going to a fancy Mothers Day brunch with friends. Two out of 4 are Diabetics.  the rates for the buffet meal are pricey as this is a special day and a lot more effort will be out in the menu. Now comes the question, Some diabetics aren't seniors or children and looking at them they don't qualify for the small price.
