Tonight, August 15, there will be a "rock the beach" free concert, featuring Lynryd Skynyrd and Josh Thompson at the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island. It's being sponsored by the Tourism Development Council with money from BP--in an attempt to boost tourism in the area and bring some people into local hotels and restaurants.Also in the news from the tourism council--there is a search underway for a new "brand" for the area that aptly describes the Destin/Okaloosa/Fort Walton Beach area.
