It is a new year! So far, for me, it has started off pretty good. Plus, we are just finishing up completely renovating our office. New paint, new floors, new desks, new everything - it is a totally new look for 2007.

I hope everyone else's year has started off right as well. But, if you haven't you still have plenty of time. Keep your head up! I think 2007 will be a great year for everyone who puts their mind to it.

I read a book recently called, "The 7 Deadly Sins of Advisor Marketing". Author Martin R. Baird says that he is always amazed at how hard many advisors work to grow their business. But he mentions that some of them spend more time trying to find new clients than trying to keep their current clientale. Baird refers to this as a hole in a bucket. You must continue to fill the bucket or it will drain completely empty.

I agree 100%! I always say that I never believe in a closed deal. I feel that once a client chooses to do business with me, he/she is a client for life! I know that if I take care of my client, he/she will come back to me for any future needs. Plus, they may even tell a friend or family member.

  Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, in association with Children's Hospital of Oakland, present the first annual Holiday Cheer Fundraising Event. Help us bring special cheer to children in need of a little holiday spirit!

  My sister, Pia Angela Nakao, will be donating $100 to the Children's Hospital of Oakland for each completed loan transaction that is submitted between October 30, 2006 and December 2, 2006.

  December 2^nd will be the last day to submit to qualify for the Holiday Cheer Event. It will also be our day to rejoice for all the contributions made from everyone. On that day, stop by for ice cream and a raffle at our Elmwood Office.
