Our Grandson Max was born on Cinco De Mayo (May 5th) in Huntington Beach California. For his second birthday our daughter had a Mexican feast following the thraditional birthday song, cake, and gifts. My wife and I were able to watch the festivities via Skype and had a few laughs to brighten our day. Max's little brother Jake was cute in with the sombrero and mustache. The bubble machine and scooter gifts were a big hit. Back in our day we had to blow to get bubbles. Now there are machines for that too.

We have a daughter living in California and Skype allows us to see her and her two sons accailionally where without Skype we would get to see them only once or so each year. If you have friends or relatives in far away places you really should check it out. If you are relocating you can keep in touch with those you have left behind. Sea Turtle Nesting Season begins in Ormond By The Sea, Florida East Central Florida including Ormond By The Sea, Daytona Beach and all of Volusia County are under lighting restrictions form May 1 to October 31 each year. The restrictions are designed to protect several species of endangered and threatened sea turtles that come ashore to lay their eggs. Balcony, porch and other lights that could potentially be seen from the beach must be turned off or shielded. Hatchlings head to the ocean when they emerge from their nest and could be confused by lights coming from the opposite direction.
