13 of 20 metro markets show monthly gains After a "double dip" in March, U.S. home prices saw a slight seasonal boost in April, according to the latest Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller National Home Price Indices report. (for South Bay real estate price chart, go to bottom of this article)
The April indices averaged price data from February, March and April. The 20-city composite index rose 0.7 percent on a monthly, non-seasonally adjusted basis in April, to 138.84 -- the first such increase in eight months.

Early in the 1980s, along with helping people find homes to own and other clients get their homes sold, I also traded commodities (mostly silver). I made a few bucks and lost more than a few bucks.
