More Opportunities for Silicon Valley Home Buyers to Win This Summer Even as the San Jose Mercury News reported on Silicon Valley home prices hitting record high levels, the hidden message within is there are more opportunities for Silicon Valley home buyers to actually "win the bid" and get the house this summer. I expect a Silicon Valley home inspector to do a thorough job of inspecting a property, and be able to clearly explain his or her findings to the principals involved (buyer, seller, agents). The property inspectors I prefer to use in San Jose, Cupertino and Palo Alto are all also general contractors, which means they have much more experience and knowledge than the majority of inspectors out there. One thing people most home sellers and home buyers don't know is there is currently no licensing, testing or other requirement to be a home inspector in California.
