HAYES TOWNSHIP ACQUIRES CAMP SEAGULL After 2-1/2 years of soliciting grants and private donations, Hayes Township finally acquired ¼ mile of pristine Lake Charlevoix that was known for 60 years as Camp Sea Gull. Most of the funds came from the State Land Trust Fund, thanks to the Little Traverse Conservancy’s assistance in the grant process, along with many township donors, big and small, interested in seeing this parcel remain undeveloped and for the public to enjoy.
