Marlene and Ken relocated to lovely Austin, Texas in preparation to retiring close to family. We actually went through 3 contract offers before finally closing on a beautiful home. It was a challenge because a when we made the first offer, the other agent stalled for days until a better offer came in. On our second offer, the sellers father became ill and she decided to take the house off the market. But the third time is the charm so we closed the third offer and Ken and Marlene are happily moving into their new home.

Texas Realtor is One of My Favorite Magazines There is a larger number of well written and pertinent articles in this publication which is delivered to all Texas REALTORS than any others I receive. I just read a really interesting article about credit repair and of course it was written by the owner of a credit repair company. According to the National Association of Home Builders, 15 cents on every dollar spent in the united States goes to housing. A recent study shows that on average in 2008: 1. Building of 1,000 single family homes provided 2,049 jobs and $89 million in tax and revenues for every level of government. 2. Building of 1,000 multi-family units provided 1,155 jobs and $33 million in tax and revenues for every level of government. 3. 7521 Windrush Dr. Austin 78729. Milwood is my neighborhood and my previous blog entry was about how great a place it is to live. This house is on my street and backs to the greenbelt/hike&bike that runs from the park all the way to the end of the neighborhood. It's a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2 car garage. The builder, Milburn, designed it to have a living/dining combination with a kitchen, breakfast, familyroom but the owner has utilized the entire living/dining for the livingroom and the familyroom for the diningroom. I live in Milwood just north of McNeil between 183 and Parmer Ln. The neighborhood was built in the late 80's through the '90's so although it was once considered far out it's now relatively close in. There is an incredible park system that includes a beautiful park area with huge Oak trees, picnic areas, community pool, playground, tennis, soccer fields, basketball courts plus a hike and bike. Currently a clubhouse is being built. The elementary school, Pond Springs, is highly rated.
