Holston H.S. and Virginia H.S. teachers recognized for their contributions to teaching financial and economic literacy.

Blacksburg, Sept. 28 - Joy Munsey, who teaches Business, Economics and Finance at Holston High School, was named Outstanding Economic Educator for the Virginia Tech Region of the Virginia Council on Economic Education on Monday.

This old barn is getting a little help from its friend - the shade tree. This barn looks like it has withstood many a sunny day and other inclement weather days. Wonder how many leaves of tobacco, pieces of farm equipment or heads of livestock this piece of time gone by has held and protected from the elements just as the tree has protected it.

I posted this photo earlier this week.....this photo shows the river when it's generating and got several comments about it looking like it's about to crest. I have this property under contract and it is one amazing place! I decided to go back by today and take one to show you what it's like when the water is calm and the trout are hungry!
