We were caught red handed while staging these homes in the Portland, Oregon area We love to use red as an accent color while staging ... it has the ability to draw the buyer's eye around a room, causing it to stop and then move on to the next spot we want to feature. Sometimes we use red to emphasize a focal point, sometimes to highlight an architectural feature, and sometimes just to add interest to an otherwise "blah" type of space. Staging a Bedroom to Appeal to Buyers (it's not about the Sellers) When we stage a home, the goal is to appeal to the target buyer of that property. Our staging company asks both the listing agent and the seller who the likely buyer of the home might be, and then decide how to stage it to appeal to that buyer. A recent project involved a townhouse in a Portland suburb. The price point and the neighborhood demographics supported that the likely buyer of this home would be a young, 30's couple, and we wanted the master bedroom to be appealing
